KYMdb - Look At All The Fucks I Give
*sigh*
Sometimes I forget who I am, what I am here for, and what I believe in. Then, when I see that poor person or animal getting abused or having a tough time, tougher than they should be, I remember why I am here and what motivates me to be the person I’m choosing to be.
It’s easy to get distracted by the little ‘me’ obsessive things, but I must be strong. I must not forget what matters most in this world. For, it’s simple to be here, now, with all your little gadgets, but when the future comes, you’ll have nothing, because you were too obsessed with yourself, and not what really matters.
The world around you maybe gone one day. What air will you breathe while you text on your iphone? What ground will you stand on when you go out to shop for the latest and greatest ‘me’ products? If everyone acts on selfishness, who will be there to protect the most important thing we have? Nobody. I will not stand alone, but I must stand up, since someone needs to. I’m sure many others already have stood up, and I’m sure many more will after I do.
Every day should be Earth Day. Please remember to take a deep breath, and learn to love nature. For it’s what gave us a chance to be. Without air, we could not breathe. Without water, we would not be able to drink. Without fire, there would be no heat. Just remember these simple things when you curse the rain, or complain about the sun. Just remember how easily it could all be taken away from you. Then, where would you be?
